Regatta Series
The Brunei Bay Regatta
The
Brunei Bay Regatta is
a five day regatta scheduled for early February
each year, following the arrival of yachts competing in the 720 nautical mile
Brunei Challenge
passage race from the Singapore Straits
to Brunei.
This regatta is designed as day
events , in and around Brunei Bay, incorporating Brunei and
the Malaysian island of Labuan. For 2006 the event is
scheduled for the 9th to 14th February.
The Brunei Darussalam Yachting Association
first conducted yachting events in co-operation with Labuan
in 1996, including a special event to mark the opening of
the Waterfront Hotel in Labuan.
Note:
All dates are based on the Singapore Straits Regatta
finishing on Sunday 22nd January 2006. If this changes the
Brunei Bay Regatta
dates will also
change.

Regatta schedule for February 2006 is:
Wednesday 8th Feb - Registration and Opening Ceremony
Thursday 9th Feb – Short courses
in Brunei Bay
Friday 10th Feb –
Race to
Labuan
Saturday 11th Feb
– Short courses at Labuan
Sunday 12th Feb – Labuan to Muara
(Brunei) race & Presentation Dinner.
